This wonderful bar is a fragrance oil scent, and the mandarin orange, mango, tangerine, and lemon-y tones in it are rewarding for all my customers who have requested a citrus bar! The Bentonite Clay is added to the soap to help smooth your skin as you shave. To use this bar you MUST wet your legs, pits, and/or the bar, lather up, and use a stick razor--electric razors are a no-no with this shaving soap! The lather is not as dense as your typical shaving cream, but it is a delightful, slippery lather that allows an effective, efficient shave. A subtle twist on a well-known traditional scent, the beautiful floral of Lavender is blended with warm citrusy Bergamot to create a very smooth scent. It's a striking compliment to pair with the Soothing bar or the Lavender/Peppermint/Tea Tree bar. Lavender, a wonderfully soothing oil, is noted for its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, as well as the ability to help the body restore its balance. Bergamot oil is what flavors Earl Grey Teas. It fights fatigue due to stress, tensions, and anxiety, and is alleged to strengthen the immune system. This essential oil is emotionally encouraging, uplifting and balancing to the spirit; some recommend Bergamot oil as a treatment for herpes, shingles, eczema and psoriasis.

Here are some interesting facts about this flavorful bar: Lemongrass is stimulating, invigorating, and great for helping relieve stress-related issues because it has a sedative effect on the central nervous system. It is also useful in easing fatigue, and research has shown that it stimulates gland secretions and muscles that aid in digestion. On the skin, Lemongrass shows to be effective in tightening large/open pores, but on sensitive skins Lemongrass can be an irritant. What a groovy bar, man! This scented bar was due to multiple customer requests for a "Patchouli Bar." I used the Ylang Ylang to soften and tone down the Patchouli's strong, spicy base notes. Men and women alike find this bar very appealing. Peace, man, and dig the Patchouli/Ylang Ylang bar! Patchouli essential oil is most known as the oil of the 60's, but is also helpful in healing cracked or inflamed skin, acne, dermatitis, and eczema as well as tightening and toning the skin. It also helps regulate oily skin and dandruff. Ylang Ylang essential oil is known as an antidepressant, relaxant to the body, mind, and spirit, and is a reputed aphrodisiac. It calms anger, releases tension, lifts depression, and stabilizes mood swings. Ylang Ylang is also most helpful to oily skin by combating the bacteria that contribute to acne.
